Hi friends! We’ve had a whirlwind of a week and want to update you on the top 3 events that took place!

To start off, we were very excited for the revival of an old classic: the G-Force Meetup. Held by our Director of Education, Christoph Raethke, this meetup is known as the only event in town that will discourage you from starting a startup – but with over 2,000 members in the meetup group, people must like the (sometimes harsh) feedback and advice given. If you have an idea for a startup that’s been keeping you up at night, come to the next G-Force meetup on June 26th to see if it’s really worth pursuing your dreams (sometimes it’s not, regardless of what your mother told you).

Less than 24 hours later was the highly-anticipated workshop with the innogy Innovation Hub on the topic of the Future of Data-Driven Personalised Services. The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is an initiative within the European Union intended to strengthen data protection for Europeans and it will change the game tremendously for anyone who is collecting or managing any sort of personal data. Over 75 data enthusiasts gathered to learn how the GDPR can be both a threat and opportunity for them. The night ended in pizza, beer, and new friendships.

Last but most certainly not least, our team over in Frankfurt am Main has been burning the midnight oil bringing entrepreneurship to Frankfurt and their latest event did not disappoint. Covered by Business Insider Deutschland, “The Fourth Industrial Revolution: From Frankfurt to Dalian” was a meetup organized by GTEC and the Global Shapers Community Frankfurt to discuss the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, which is the Global Summit of the World Economic Forum on Innovation, Science and Technology. The event was filmed for your viewing pleasure; in the video, you can also catch a glimpse of our beautiful new campus down south.

Whew! What a week. As a reward for making it through this long post, we’d like to thank you by giving you a discount code to The Economist Events’ Innovation Summit, with whom we’ve partnered to continue our mission of bridging startups, corporations and academia. Use the code GTEC/DC and you’ll get 20% off the ticket.

See you at the next event <3
